origin story

In the summer of 2023 when Makwa was about twelve weeks, I was putting away the iron skillets in the cabin after cooking dinner. She played on the deck outside the door some twenty feet from where I stood. I read about husky behavior regarding their water dish, had consequently selected a heavy rimmed ceramic bowl that had a fitted lid. They were known to pick them up and drop them. As I hung the skillets on the rack tied to the back of the stone fireplace above the stove, I noted that the ropes that held the rack were precariously configured. Turning from the stove, I heard Makwa drop her water dish on the deck with a resounding BANG! The reverberation caused the ropes to slip, the rack to fall, and an iron skillet dropped onto the stove, chipped the enamel surface and fell to the wooden floor with a crash! I shouted at Makwa: Behavior HAS Consequences! So startled was she that she never dropped her water dish again. Thus, was born BROKENCERAMICSKILLETRECORDS.COM. The logo depicts the harmonica microphone and skillet, incidentally the harmonica mic has a ceramic element added by Dr. Music in College Hill some years ago.
